On an off day for everyone stateside, some of the youngest Yankees took the field in DR.
DSL Yankees 1 (3-3): The Yanks dropped a close one to the Rockies 7-6.
- Star of the Game: Felix Negueis – 2-for-3, 3 RBI, 1 strikeout. The 20-year-old is 5 for 14 with 6 RBI on the season
- Hans Montero: 1-for-3, 2 runs, 1 walk
- Enger Castellano: 1-for-3, 1 walk
- Donys Garcia: 3 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K
- Allen Facundo: 2.1 IP, 3 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 K
- Wilser Barrios: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 3 K
DSL Yankees 2 (5-1): By far the more successful of the DSL affiliates so far, Yanks 2 smoked Diamondbacks 2 14-7.
- Star of the Game: Joel Mendez – 1-for-2, 1 home run (4), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 3 walks. Mendez has put the system on notice with seven hits, four of them leaving the yard, in his first six professional games. The 18-year-old may be headed overseas soon if he keeps this up
- Daury Arias: 3-for-4, 1 double, 2 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk. Arias, another 2019 signee, is also off to a monster start this season
- Dayro Perez: 3-for-3, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks
- Jesus Rodriguez: 1-for-3, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk. Rodriguez, still just 19, is building off a successful 2019 in the DSL during which he slugged .552 in 18 games
- Mauro Bonifacio: 1-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 3 strikeouts
- Henry Lalane: 3 IP, 3 H, 3 R (1 ER), 2 BB, 2 K
- Kevin Aparicio: 2 IP, 3 H, 2 R (1 ER), 1 BB, 4 K
- Daniel Calderon: 2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 0 K
