Two top prospects hit their first home runs at the Double-A level in Somerset’s win, while the rest of Sunday’s performances were mixed, and rookie league stars got their moment in the sun in DR.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (45-48): Scranton scored twice in the first but was shut out the rest of the way in a 3-2 loss at Lehigh Valley.
- Star of the Game: Jhony Brito – 6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 74 pitches (51 strikes). Brito rebounded after two consecutive difficult starts
- Oswald Peraza: 2-for-5, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Miguel Andujar: 1-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 strikeout
- Tyler Wade: 2-for-4, 1 double, 1 strikeout
- Zach Greene: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 15 pitches (8 strikes)
- Jimmy Cordero: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 24 pitches (14 strikes). Cordero took the loss


Somerset Patriots (56-34): Four home runs paced the Patriots to a 7-4 win over Reading.
- Star of the Game: Rodolfo Duran – 2-for-4, 1 home run (4), 1 double, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Duran doubled home Somerset’s first run and then added a pair of insurance runs with a two-run big fly
- Everson Pereira: 1-for-5, 1 home run (1), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. Pereira opened his Double-A homer account in his fourth game
- Austin Wells: 2-for-4, 1 home run (1), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Wells joined Pereira in hitting his first Somerset home run
- Brandon Lockridge: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored, 2 stolen bases
- Max Burt: 1-for-4, 1 home run (9), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Burt is on a tear of late, with five of his nine home runs coming this month
- Mitch Spence: 4.2 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, 73 pitches (44 strikes)
- Kaleb Cowart: 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 17 pitches (12 strikes)
- Tanner Myatt: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 28 pitches (16 strikes). Myatt picked up a win and a blown save
- Steven Jennings: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K, 10 pitches (7 strikes)
- Carson Coleman: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 20 pitches (13 strikes). Coleman’s clean ninth earned him his eighth save


Hudson Valley Renegades (48-41): After taking an early 5-1 lead, the ‘Gades were outscored 15-4 the rest of the way in a series-closing 16-9 loss at Wilmington.
- Star of the Game: Trey Sweeney – 3-for-4, 1 home run (10), 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 stolen base. Sweeney has nine extra-base hits and 11 RBI this month
- Jasson Dominguez: 1-for-3, 2 RBI, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Pat DeMarco: 1-for-1, 1 home run (1), 1 RBI, 1 run scored. DeMarco came on as a defensive replacement for Dominguez and hit his first home run of the season
- TJ Rumfield: 3-for-4, 2 RBI, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Matt Sauer: 2.1 IP, 6 H, 6 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 69 pitches (40 strikes)
- Charlie Ruegger: 1.1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 29 pitches (17 strikes). Ruegger took the loss to fall to 2-2
- Carlos Gomez: 1 IP, 1 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 38 pitches (20 strikes)
- Nelson L. Alvarez: 2.1 IP, 3 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 39 pitches (25 strikes)
- Jhonatan Munoz: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 14 pitches (8 strikes)


Tampa Tarpons (41-46): Tampa split a doubleheader with Lakeland, winning the continuation of yesterday’s game 10-5 and losing the second leg 6-1.

- Star of the Game: Juan Carela – 4 IP, 1 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 9 K, 72 pitches (47 strikes). Carela’s long relief appearance resulted in his seventh win and his eighth straight outing with at least five strikeouts
- Anthony Garcia: 2-for-4, 1 home run (12), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 strikeouts. Garcia had not homered since June 30
- Antonio Gomez: 1-for-3, 1 home run (4), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk. Gomez’s two-run home run gave the Tarpons a 2-0 lead in the first inning
- Benjamin Cowles: 2-for-3, 2 doubles, 3 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base
- Madison Santos: 2-for-3, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Ben Rice: 3-for-3, 4 RBI, 1 walk
- Chandler Champlain: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 13 pitches (9 strikes)
