It’s certainly early, but the Tampa Tarpons offense looks like it’s going to be fun. Meanwhile, a pair of major leaguers stole the show further up the chain as the New York Yankees affiliates went a perfect 4-0 on Wednesday.

Trey Amburgey (Matt Bufano)
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (1-1) (Triple-A): The RailRiders evened their record at 1-1 with a 7-5 victory over Syracuse.
- Luke Voit: 2-for-3, 1 home run, 2 RBI. Voit went yard in the third inning as he continues his path to returning from meniscus surgery
- Miguel Andújar: 2-for-4, 1 home run, 2 RBI, 1 strikeout. Andújar is the odd man out with the big club at the moment, but he’s off to a strong start in Triple-A
- Trey Amburgey: 1-for-4, 1 home run
- Chris Gittens: 1-for-3, 1 walk, 1 RBI
- Rob Brantly: 1-for-3, 2 runs scored
- Brody Koerner: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 4 K, 51 pitches (28 strikes)
- Kyle Barraclough: 0.2 IP, 2 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 30 pitches (15 strikes)
- Adam Warren: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 25 pitches (15 strikes). Warren picked up the win
- Trevor Lane: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 29 pitches (20 strikes)
- Brooks Kriske: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 22 pitches (12 strikes). Kriske gave up a run but struck out the side to lock down his first save of the season


Somerset Patriots (Double-A): The Patriots (2-0) held Harrisburg to just two hits and a run in a 3-1 win.
- Diego Castillo: 3-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored
- Estevan Florial: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Donny Sands: 1-for-4, 1 home run, 1 strikeout
- Dermis Garcia, 0-for-4, 3 strikeouts
- Shawn Semple: 4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 61 pitches (40 strikes). A sparkling 2021 debut for the 25-year-old as he picked up the win.
- Jefry Valdez: 2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, 33 pitches (21 strikes)
- Michael Gomez: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 19 pitches (13 strikes)
- Keegan Curtis: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 26 pitches (15 strikes). Curtis pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up the save


Hudson Valley Renegades (1-1) (High-A): Renegades pitching shut down Jersey Shore, allowing just two hits. Hudson Valley’s offense struck out 16 times but came through with big hits in an 8-0 win, their first of the season.
- Brandon Lockridge: 4-for-5, 1 triple, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored. Lockridge came a homer shy of the cycle and is hitting .444 in the early going
- Ezequiel Duran: 2-for-5, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Josh Breaux: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 3 strikeouts
- Steven Sensley: 2-for-4, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts
- Oswald Peraza: 0-for-5, 3 strikeouts
- Ken Waldichuk: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 2 K, 51 pitches (28 strikes)
- Barrett Loseke: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 46 pitches (29 strikes) Loseke picked up the win in relief of Waldichuk.
- Zach Greene: 2.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 5 K, 46 pitches (28 strikes)
- Justin Wilson: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 30 pitches (22 strikes)


Tampa Tarpons (Low-A): After falling behind 7-0 in the second inning, Tampa stormed back on the strength of their big bats and eventually pulled away in a 19-9 win over Dunedin to start the season 2-0.
- Austin Wells: 2-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk. Wells is hitting a tidy .444 in the early going
- Trevor Hauver: 2-for-2, 1 home run, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 3 walks. Hauver’s OPS is sitting at a ludicrous 3.167 after two games. His home run came in the 8th inning once the game had already gotten out of hand
- Pat DeMarco: 2-for-3, 2 home runs, 5 RBI, 3 runs scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout.
The New York native and 17th-round pick in 2019 out of Vanderbilt had a monster day in the 8-hole, kick-starting Tampa’s initial rally with his third-inning solo home run
- Anthony Volpe: 1-for-5, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk
- Jake Sanford: 2-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored
- Andres Chaparro: 4-for-6, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 strikeouts
- Chad Bell: 2-for-6, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 3 strikeouts
- Harold Cortijo: 1.2 IP, 4 H, 7 R (6 ER), 5 BB, 2 K, 55 pitches (20 strikes)
- Kevin Milam: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 40 pitches (23 strikes). Milam stabilized things after Cortijo’s implosion. The 23-year-old was making his A-ball debut after notching eight saves for the GCL Yankees in 2019
- Trevor Holloway: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K, 41 pitches (26 strikes). On a less-than-stellar night of Tampa pitching, the 2020 non-drafted free agent out of UCF picked up the win in his professional debut.
- Shaine McNeely: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 2 K, 23 pitches (18 strikes)
- Carson Coleman: 1 IP, 2 K, 13 pitchers (8 strikes) Coleman was making his professional debut as a non-drafted free agent in 2020 from the University of Kentucky.
