As the 2022 MiLB season winds to a close, it was a day of ups and downs for the two remaining active affiliates. Both will wrap up their seasons tomorrow – Somerset as either the champs or runners-up of the Eastern League, and Scranton due to their schedule and campaign coming to an end before the playoffs.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (82-67): It was a second half to remember, but the RailRiders will fall just short of the postseason. They needed two wins combined with two Durham losses to take the division championship, but lost to Buffalo 8-1 on Tuesday to seal their fate.
- Star of the Game: Anthony Volpe – 2-for-4, 1 triple, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. Volpe is wrapping up a successful debut at the Triple-A level with a respectable .719 OPS
- Estevan Florial: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 strikeout
- Anthony Banda: 2.1 IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 35 pitches (24 strikes). Banda took the loss to end the season 0-3
- Zach Greene: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 20 pitches (9 strikes)
- Miguel Castro: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 15 pitches (10 strikes)
- Tyler Duffey: 1.2 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 4 K, 39 pitches (23 strikes)
- Jhony Brito: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, 14 pitches (11 strikes)
- Richard Rodriguez: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 14 pitches (10 strikes)
- Greg Weissert: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 20 pitches (14 strikes)


Somerset Patriots: The Patriots scored eight runs in the first two innings to cruise to a 9-2 win over the SeaWolves, staving off elimination and forcing a winner-take-all Game 3 for the Eastern League championship tomorrow evening.
- Star of the Game: Austin Wells – 2-for-3, 1 home run, 3 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base. Wells got the party started with a three-run blast in the first inning
- Jasson Dominguez: 2-for-5, 1 home run, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 strikeouts. Dominguez hit his second home run at Double-A
- Andres Chaparro: 2-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk
- Elijah Dunham: 2-for-4, 1 home run, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
- Yoendrys Gomez: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 6 K, 63 pitches (42 strikes). Gomez has impressed in four out of his five season-ending starts with the Patriots
- Barrett Loseke: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 35 pitches (18 strikes)
- Emmanuel Ramirez: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 11 pitches (8 strikes)
- Carlos Espinal: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 16 pitches (11 strikes)
