A dramatic evening at TD Ballpark saw the Patriots rally past the Sea Dogs to book their place in the Eastern League Championship Series, while Scranton engineered a comeback of their own.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (79-64): The RailRiders overcame a 5-2 deficit to score six unanswered runs, then held off a late Lehigh Valley rally for an 8-7 win, though Durham won as well to keep them at arm’s length.
- Star of the Game: Ben Rortvedt – 2-for-5, 1 home run (6), 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Rortvedt’s eighth-inning solo shot added to a one-run lead
- Estevan Florial: 2-for-5, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 2 stolen bases
- Armando Alvarez: 2-for-2, 1 double, 2 runs scored
- Tyler Wade: 2-for-5, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Michael Beltre: 2-for-3, 2 RBI, 1 strikeout. Beltre tied the score with a two-run single in the sixth

- Richard Rodriguez: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 15 pitches (9 strikes)
- Luke Bard: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 0 K, 21 pitches (11 strikes). Bard got the win despite a shaky ninth


Somerset Patriots: Down to their last out, staring at a winner-take-all Game 3 tomorrow night, the Patriots scored twice in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score, and then walked off in the 10th for a 6-5 win over Portland and a date with the Erie SeaWolves for the league title.
- Star of the Game: Brandon Lockridge – 2-for-5, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. Lockridge drove in Jeisson Rosario, the automatic runner, with a ground-ball single to right field, sending everybody home
- Jasson Dominguez: 2-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout. Dominguez had his first multi-hit game at Double-A
- Austin Wells: 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 walk
- Andres Chaparro: 1-for-5, 1 RBI, 2 strikeouts. Wells and Chaparro’s singles drove in the tying runs with two outs in the ninth
- Clayton Beeter: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 R (1 ER), 3 BB, 6 K, 80 pitches (48 strikes)
- Steven Jennings: 0.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 9 pitches (7 strikes)
