After posting MiLB’s best record during the month of July, what was once unthinkable is now well within sight for the RailRiders. Hudson Valley and Tampa closed out frustrating weekends.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (51-48): Scranton stomped the fading Red Wings 9-2 to put the finishing touches on a six-game sweep that brings them within 3.5 games of the division lead, with plenty of head-to-head contests left against all the teams in front of them – starting with this coming week against Buffalo.
