Scranton’s eighth straight win was a fun one, as the RailRiders hung a fourteen-spot on Lehigh Valley. The Renegades provided some offensive fireworks as well, while the Patriots and Tarpons dealt with the weather.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (29-11): The RailRiders scored early and scored often en route to a 14-5 drubbing of the IronPigs to extend their winning streak.
- Star of the Game: Andrew Velazquez – 2-for-6, 1 home run (2), 4 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Velazquez went deep as part of a three-run second inning, which was the first of three multi-run innings for Scranton. He has six multi-hit games in the month of June
- Hoy Jun Park: 3-for-7, 1 double, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 strikeout. The June of Hoy Jun continues as the 25-year-old, who made his first start in center field on Tuesday, is 21-for-56 this month with four home runs and four doubles
- Ryan LaMarre: 3-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Trey Amburgey: 1-for-4, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts
- Derek Dietrich: 3-for-5, 2 doubles, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Armando Alvarez: 2-for-5, 1 home run (3), 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Alvarez has two consecutive multi-hit games
- Luis Gil: 4 IP, 0 H, 1 ER, 7 BB, 5 K, 99 pitches (53 strikes). What a remarkable line. Gil had no control whatsoever but still battled through four hitless innings
- Braden Bristo: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K, 23 pitches (13 strikes). Bristo earned the win for his scoreless fifth
- Darren O’Day: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 20 pitches (10 strikes). O’Day’s rehab began in earnest as he works his way back to the big leagues
- Justin Wilson: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 18 pitches (10 strikes). The elder Wilson (not the Renegades pitcher) followed his teammate O’Day with a clean inning of rehab
- Trevor Lane: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R (0 ER), 0 BB, 1 K, 22 pitches (15 strikes)
- Albert Abreu: 1 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 31 pitches (21 strikes). A disappointing night for Abreu after a string of promising outings
Somerset Patriots (27-14): The rain in Maine cancelled the game – the Patriots and Sea Dogs will make it up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow.


Hudson Valley Renegades (26-16): Nine out of 16 Renegades hits went for extra bases as HV opened the week by pummeling Wilmington 12-3.
- Star of the Game: Brandon Lockridge – 2-for-5, 1 home run (2), 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 strikeouts. Lockridge hadn’t homered since May 8. His three-run shot put the Renegades up 7-1
- Josh Smith: 2-for-5, 1 double, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Josh Breaux: 2-for-5, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- James Nelson: 2-for-4, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout
- Chad Bell: 3-for-4, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout. Bell had his first multi-hit game in a Renegades uniform
- Frederick Cuevas: 2-for-4, 1 home run (2), 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored
- Mitch Spence: 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 5 K, 73 pitches (46 strikes). Spence has 30 strikeouts in 26.2 innings this year
- Elvis Peguero: 2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 42 pitches (28 strikes)
- Matt Minnick: 2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K, 23 pitches (17 strikes)
Tampa Tarpons (28-14): Tampa was leading Lakeland 2-0 in the top of the second when the game was suspended. It’ll be picked up tomorrow.
