Clarke Schmidt lifted Scranton to its fifth consecutive victory and auditioned flawlessly for a role down the stretch in the Bronx. Spencer Jones put on a show of his own in a Tampa loss.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (56-50): This train just won’t stop rolling. Scranton defeated Worcester 4-1 and kept pace at 2.5 games behind Jacksonville for the division lead.
- Star of the Game: Clarke Schmidt – 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 11 K, 78 pitches (52 strikes). Schmidt fired six perfect innings, striking out the side in the second and allowing just three batted balls to leave the infield

Somerset Patriots (64-40): Somerset dropped a tight contest to Hartford 4-2.
- Star of the Game: Max Burt – 2-for-4, 1 home run (10), 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. Burt supplied all of the Patriots’ offense in this one with a two-out, two-run home run in the sixth
- Austin Wells: 2-for-3, 1 walk
- Eric Wagaman: 2-for-3, 1 run scored, 1 walk
- Will Warren: 6 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 83 pitches (53 strikes). Warren put up his first quality start since July 13
- Emmanuel Ramirez: 2 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 31 pitches (16 strikes). Ramirez took the loss
- Kaleb Cowart: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K, 23 pitches (16 strikes)


Hudson Valley Renegades (56-48): Aberdeen upended the Renegades 4-3 despite a quick start from the hosts.
- Star of the Game: Trey Sweeney – 2-for-4, 1 home run (13), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 2 stolen bases. Sweeney led off the game with a homer to right center
- Jasson Dominguez: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout, 2 stolen bases
- Eduardo Torrealba: 2-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 stolen base
- Blas Castano: 5 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 70 pitches (50 strikes). Castano returned to High-A and dominated after a rough one-game stint with Somerset
- Nelson L. Alvarez: 1.2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 36 pitches (22 strikes). Alvarez took the loss
- Nelvin Correa: 2.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K, 33 pitches (21 strikes)


Tampa Tarpons (50-53): The Tarpons rallied late, but fell short in an 8-6 loss to the Blue Jays.
- Star of the Game: Spencer Jones – 2-for-3, 1 home run (1), 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks. Leading off in just his second Low-A game, Jones doubled to lead off the game and then hit a solo home run in the ninth inning
- Marcos Cabrera: 2-for-5, 1 home run 13), 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout. The 20-year-old picked up where he left off prior to injury, homering for the first time since he did so in back-to-back games on July 13 and 14
- Antonio Gomez: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. The hitting streak has reached 15 games
- Sean Hermann: 5 IP, 4 H, 3 R (1 ER), 2 BB, 3 K, 84 pitches (53 strikes)
- Ryan Anderson: 2 IP, 3 H, 5 R (4 ER), 2 BB, 2 K, 43 pitches (23 strikes). Anderson fell to 2-6 with the loss and also suffered a blown save
- Leam Mendez: 1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K, 9 pitches (8 strikes). Mendez made his Low-A debut


FCL Yankees (32-13): The Yanks came back for a 4-3 win over the Phillies.
- Star of the Game: Jared Serna – 2-for-4, 1 home run (6), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 stolen bases. This game was the Serna Show: he hit a solo homer to score the Yanks’ first run, singled home the tying run, and stole home for the winning run
- Daury Arias: 2-for-4, 2 doubles, 1 run scored
- Agustin Ramirez: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 stolen base
- Justin Lange: 3 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 4 K
- Osiel Rodriguez: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 4 K. Rodriguez improved his record to 5-0 and his ERA to 3.18 with his strong long relief
DSL Yankees (23-26): The Yanks managed just two hits in a 5-1 loss to Pirates Gold.
- Star of the Game: Sabier Marte – 4 IP, 4 H, 2 R (1 ER), 0 BB, 6 K. The 18-year-old rookie hadn’t pitched since July 30
- Manuel Palencia: 1-for-4, 1 RBI
- Brian Arias: 1 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 0 K. Arias took the loss to fall to 0-2
- Luis Urbano: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 3 K
- Jordy Luciano: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K
- Christopher Medina: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
DSL Bombers (24-26): The fading Bombers lost their fifth game in a row, 2-1 to Pirates Black, and were officially eliminated from postseason contention.
- Star of the Game: Gerardo Abrego – 4 IP, 1 H, 1 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 3 K. Abrego took the loss, his first of the season, but also added to his run of twelve consecutive appearances allowing two earned runs or fewer
- Engelth Urena: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 walk
- Enger Castellano: 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 strikeout
- Diego Hernandez: 3.2 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
