The Renegades kept the good times rolling with another win, while Scranton made their maiden voyage to Worcester and The Martian’s boots look like they’re made for walkin’ so far.

  • Star of the Game: Diego Castillo – 3-for-5, 1 home run (9), 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored. Castillo now has five multi-hit games in his last seven. He’s slugging .724 in the month of June

  • Luis Medina: 4 IP, 3 H, 4 R (3 ER), 4 BB, 5 K, 78 pitches (46 strikes). Medina showed a little bit of everything in this one. His Double-A ERA stands at an unimpressive 7.07

Hudson Valley Renegades (31-17): Shawn Semple continues to make the case that he doesn’t belong at High-A, and the offense did enough for the Renegades to emerge with a 4-1 win over the BlueClaws.

  • Star of the Game: Shawn Semple – 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 11 K, 91 pitches (58 strikes). Semple struck out the side around a walk in the first inning and basically never looked back. He’s allowed two earned runs in 18 High-A innings

Roberto Chirinos (Photo by John Brophy / Pinstriped Prospects)

FCL Yankees (1-1): The Yanks lost to the Blue Jays 7-3, but on the bright side, Jasson Dominguez has an OBP of .500 thanks to three walks in his first two games.

  • Star of the Game: Roberto Chirinos: 2-for-3, 1 triple, 1 RBI, 1 run scored. The 20-year-old out of Venezuela is looking to build on a six-homer campaign in 2019 with Pulaski

  • Carlos Gomez: 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K
  • Kevin Milam: 1.1 IP, 5 H, 5 ER, 1 BB, 0 K. After authoring a strong 2019 in the GCL and showing some bat-missing stuff with Tampa this year, Milam imploded in his first FCL appearance
  • Josue Panacual: 1 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
  • Christian Sumoza: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
