Phillip Diehl (Jarah Wright)

Check out some of the top performances across the New York Yankees farm system in our latest edition of Pinstriped Performances.

Mark Payton, LF, Trenton Thunder (Double A): Mark had a remarkable day at the plate in Trenton’s 10-2 win over the Hartford Yard Goats. The University of Texas product went 3-4 at the plate with a double, walk and four runs batted in. It is also worth noting that all four of Payton’s RBI’s came with two outs in the inning.

Adonis Rosa, SP, Charleston RiverDogs (Single A): Adonis earned his first win as a member of the RiverDogs as he tossed six scoreless innings against the Greenville Drive. Rosa struck out nine, walked none and allowed just two hits.

Phillip Diehl, SP, Pulaski Yankees (Rookie): Phillip turned in his best appearance of the season in the first start of his professional career against the Princeton Rays. The 2016 draft pick out of Louisiana Tech fired five scoreless innings. He allowed just one opponent to reach base on a single. Diehl struck out seven and walked none. Phillip also was able to garner four ground-outs to one fly-out.
