Tampa scored runs in bunches for the second straight night in dispatching their 2021 championship series rivals. Scranton secured a much-needed win in extra innings.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (10-16): The Red Wings fought back from two deficits, but Scranton managed to plate a single run in the tenth to sneak away with an 8-7 win.
- Star of the Game: Max McDowell – 2-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored. McDowell singled home the go-ahead run in the tenth inning, and also doubled in a run in the fifth to tie the score at five

- Jose Peraza: 3-for-5, 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout

- Matt Krook: 4 IP, 8 H, 6 R (5 ER), 3 BB, 1 K, 75 pitches (49 strikes). Krook allowed more than three earned runs in a start for the first time this season and saw his ERA shoot up from 1.96 to 3.33

- Trevor Lane: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 16 pitches (11 strikes)

Somerset Patriots (16-8): Somerset and New Hampshire were postponed and will play a Sunday doubleheader.
Hudson Valley Renegades (13-11): The Renegades and BlueClaws were rained out and will play a twin bill on Sunday.


Tampa Tarpons (13-11): After falling behind 3-0 early, the Tarpons roared back behind Jasson Dominguez and company to cruise to a 9-3 triumph over Bradenton and a series win.
- Star of the Game: Jasson Dominguez – 2-for-3, 1 home run (2), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks, 1 strikeout. Dominguez’s big fly in the third put the Tarpons in front 4-3
- Alex Vargas: 1-for-5, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Anthony Garcia: 1-for-5, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Anthony Seigler: 1-for-3, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Juan Carela: 5.2 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 7 K, 74 pitches (46 strikes). After allowing four hits and three runs in a forgettable first inning, Carela didn’t allow another baserunner past first, and emerged with his second win of the year
- Ryan Anderson: 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 25 pitches (14 strikes)
- Carlos Gomez: 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 4 BB, 1 K, 43 pitches (20 strikes)
