…is a good offense, if you were a Yankees affiliate on Tuesday. All of the teams except one scored at least seven runs, and four went into double digits, on a wild day of dingers and mayhem.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (59-40): Scranton was the only team not to get in on the offensive fireworks, meekly dropping both legs of a doubleheader to Buffalo by 5-1 and 3-0 scorelines.

Somerset Patriots (60-42): The pennant-chasing Patriots fell behind the Baysox early, but put together a six-run eighth inning to vault past Bowie 13-10.
- Star of the Game: Dermis Garcia – 2-for-4, 1 home run (26), 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base. Garcia’s monster shot to straightaway center field completed the comeback and consolidated his league lead in homers
- Oswald Peraza: 3-for-5, 1 home run (9), 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk. Peraza’s homer was his first in two weeks
- Oswaldo Cabrera: 4-for-5, 1 double, 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Josh Breaux: 2-for-4, 1 double, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Chad Bell: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored, 1 walk
- Ken Waldichuk: 1.1 IP, 5 H, 7 R (5 ER), 1 BB, 1 K, 47 pitches (27 strikes). This is easily the most adversity Waldichuk has faced this year. It’ll be interesting to see how he bounces back
- Sean Boyle: 4.2 IP, 5 H, 3 R (2 ER), 1 BB, 7 K, 89 pitches (58 strikes)
- Jefry Valdez: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 33 pitches (25 strikes). Valdez picked up his fourth win
- Nick Ernst: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K, 17 pitches (10 strikes). Ernst earned his first Double-A save


Hudson Valley Renegades (63-39): A six-homer day ended in disappointment for the ‘Gades on a walk-off grand slam and a 9-7 loss to Greensboro.
- Star of the Game: Eduardo Torrealba – 2-for-3, 2 home runs (2), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored. Torrealba’s first two homers at this level were both solo shots – one in the fifth and one to add what looked like an insurance run in the ninth
- Anthony Volpe: 1-for-5, 1 home run (10), 1 RBI, 1 run scored. Volpe hit double-digit homers at High-A
- Everson Pereira: 1-for-4, 1 home run (6), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Andres Chaparro: 2-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
- Jake Sanford: 3-for-4, 1 home run (6), 1 double, 2 RBI, 1 run scored. Sanford closed out August hitting .275
- Pat DeMarco: 2-for-4, 1 home run (6), 1 RBI, 1 run scored
- Josh Maciejewski: 5 IP, 6 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 87 pitches (61 strikes)
- Edgar Barclay: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 9 pitches (6 strikes)
- Trevor Holloway: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 13 pitches (10 strikes)
- Derek Craft: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 4 R (0 ER), 2 BB, 2 K, 29 pitches (18 strikes). Craft wasn’t helped by a passed ball on a dropped third strike from Austin Wells that should’ve ended the game. But he walked the next batter and then served up the game-winning round-tripper


Tampa Tarpons (67-34): The Tarpons grabbed some style points late, but were overall bludgeoned by Bradenton 19-7.
- Star of the Game: Antonio Gomez – 4-for-5, 1 home run (2), 1 RBI, 2 runs scored. Gomez had his first multi-hit game at this level
- Trey Sweeney: 1-for-4, 1 home run (4), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Jasson Dominguez: 1-for-5, 1 home run (4), 1 RBI, 1 run scored. Dominguez extended his hitting streak to 10 games
- Anthony Garcia: 1-for-5, 1 home run (2), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 3 strikeouts. Garcia is off to a great start with Tampa, posting a 1.068 OPS
- Ben Rice: 2-for-5, 1 home run (2), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
- Roberto Chirinos: 2-for-5, 1 home run (3), 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Tyrone Yulie: 2 IP, 5 H, 6 R (5 ER), 2 BB, 2 K, 58 pitches (32 strikes)

FCL Yankees (28-13): The Yankees kept on rolling with an easy 15-4 win over Tigers East.
- Star of the Game: Kyle Battle – 4-for-4, 2 home runs (2), 5 RBI, 3 runs scored. After a career night, Battle sports a .953 OPS
- Pitching Star of the Game: Josue Panacual – 5.1 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 9 K. Panacual posted his best line of the season
- Raimfer Salinas: 1-for-3, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Agustin Ramirez: 2-for-4, 2 doubles, 2 runs scored
- Hemmanuel Rosario: 1-for-5, 1 home run (1), 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 3 strikeouts
- Angel Rojas: 3-for-4, 1 home run (1), 4 RBI, 2 runs scored
- Luis Velasquez: 1.1 IP, 2 H, 2 R (1 ER), 4 BB, 1 K

DSL Yankees 1 (18-16): The streaking Yankees handily defeated the Twins 12-4.
- Star of the Game: Jared Serna – 1-for-5, 1 home run (3), 3 RBI, 1 run scored. The 19-year-old from Mexico is filling up the stat sheet this year with 10 extra-base hits, 18 stolen bases, and nearly twice as many walks (24) as strikeouts (14)
- Alan Mejia: 1-for-1, 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, 3 walks, 1 stolen base
- Manuel Palencia: 2-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 stolen base
- Christopher Familia: 2-for-5, 1 double, 3 RBI, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base
- Nolberto Henriquez: 5 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 4 K

DSL Yankees 2 (18-16): The Yanks could not shut the door on Giants Orange, giving up a game-winning hit with two outs and a one-run lead in the bottom of the 10th to lose 10-9.
- Star of the Game: Nicolas Garcia – 2-for-4, 1 home run (2), 1 double, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts. The Santo Domingo native has a three-game hitting streak and homers in two of those three games
- Brenny Escanio: 1-for-4, 1 home run (4), 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 3 strikeouts. Escanio continues to rake with an OPS north of 1.000
- Omar Martinez: 2-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
