Check out the top performances across the New York Yankees organization in the latest edition of Pinstriped Performances.

New York Yankees (MLB): Amid tempers flaring and benches clearing, the Yankees dropped their series finale to the Detroit Tigers 10-6

  • Brett Gardner went 4-f0r-5 with an RBI (53) and a run scored
  • Gary Sanchez went 2-for-4 with a home run (27) and a pair of RBIs (74)

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A): The RailRiders managed to avoid a four-game sweep at the hands of the Rochester Red Wings with an 8-3 victory in their series finale

Trenton Thunder (Double-A): Trenton kicked off a four-game set with a 5-1 loss to Richmond

  • Jeff Hendrix went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles
  • Nick Solak went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored
  • Francisco Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double
  • Andrew Schwaab was the lone Thunder pitcher to avoid giving up an earned-run after tossing a hitless ninth inning

Tampa Yankees (Single-A Advanced): Game Postponed Due to Lightning

Charleston RiverDogs (Single-A): The RiverDogs were walked-off in a 2-1 loss during their series finale with the West Virginia Power

  • Dermis Garcia went 1-for-3 with a home run (5) and the lone RiverDogs RBI (11)
  • Nick Green scattered three hits across five shutout innings, striking out five and walking none
  • Garrett Mundell earned a hold with two scoreless innings of relief, scattering one hit while striking out two

Staten Island Yankees (Single-A Short Season): Staten Island were shutout 3-0 in their series finale with Aberdeen

  • Welfrin Mateo went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles
  • Juan De Paula took the loss after giving up two runs (one earned) on just two hits while striking out seven across 6.0 frames

Pulaski Yankees (Rookie-Advanced): The Pulaski Yankees fell to the Danville Braves, 7-6

  • Frederick Cuevas went 3-for-5 with  a walk
  • Ricky Surum went 2-for-5 with a run scored and a double
  • Gilmael Troya allowed 1 unearend run on 3 hits and a walk, striking out 8 in 6 innings

Gulf Coast League Yankees East and West (Rookie):  The GCL Yankees West defeated the GCL Tigers East 10-6.  The GCL Yankees East won 5-4 over the GCL Tigers West.

  • Samuel De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a run scored, 2 RBIs and a walk
  • Jonathan Amundaray went 3-for-5 with a run and 2 RBI
  • David Metzgar went 3-for-5 with a run scored, a double and 2 RBIs
  • Jose Carrera went 2-for-4 with a run scored, a double and 2 RBIs
  • Borinquen Mendez went 2-for-3 with 2 runs and a walk
  • Devi Diaz allowed an unearned run on 3 hits and 3 walks, striking out 5 in 4 1/3 innings
