Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A): The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (8-8) were defeated by the Rochester Red Wings.

  • Gosuke Katoh: 1-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 RBI, 1 home run
    The home run was his fifth of the season, he is tied for second in the organization. The former second-round pick is now hitting .295/.682/.367 in 13 games for this season. 
  • Wendell Rijo: 1-for-3, 1 double
  • Nestor Cortes: 4IP 5H 4R 4ER 3BB 2SO
    Threw 58/91 pitches for strikes (64%).

Trenton Thunder (Double-A): The Trenton Thunder (10-6) were swept in a doubleheader by the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Game One

  • Hoy Jun Park: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored, 1 double
  • Ben Ruta: 2-for-3, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs, 1 double, 1 stolen base
  • Chris Gittens: 2-for-3, 2 RBI 1 walk, 1 triple
  • Rashad Crawford: 2-for-4, 1 stolen base
  • Trevor Stephan: 4.1IP 7H 6R 6ER 5BB 8SO
    Stephan threw 57/94 pitches for strikes (61%). Stephan allowed all six runs in the fifth inning.  He has allowed 14 earned runs on 21 hits and 12 walks in 14 innings.
  • Adonis Rosa: 0.2 IP 1H 0R 0ER 0BB 1SO
    Threw 6/8 pitches for strikes.
  • Will Carter: 1IP 0H 0R 0ER 0BB 1SO
    Threw 11/17 pitches for strikes.

    Park has a six-game hitting streak, he is 10-for-27 (.370) during that stretch.

  • Ben Ruta: 1-for-4
    Ruta now has 24 hits for the season and leads the entire Yankees system in that category. He now also has a small four-game hitting streak.
  • Jorge Saez: 1-for-4, 1 passed ball
  • Rashad Crawford: 1-for-4, 1 run scored.
    Crawford now has a six-game hitting streak going and is hitting .291/.327/.381 for the Thunder.
  • Jhalan Jackson: 1-for-3, 2 runs scored, 1 RBI, 1 walk, 1 triple
  • Welfrin Mateo: 1-for-2, 1 run scored, 1 RBI 1 walk
  • Nick Green: 5IP 4H 6R 4ER 2BB 2SO, 2 errors
    Threw 43/68 pitches for strikes (63%)
  • Domingo Acevedo: 1IP 2H 2R 2ER 1BB 0SO
    Two runs came on a 1-out 2-run home run in the sixth inning. It was the first two earned runs he allowed all season in 10 total innings.

Tampa Tarpons (Class-A Advanced): The Tampa Tarpons (8-11) came from behind to defeat the Charlotte Stone Crabs 5-3.

  • Diego Castillo: 2-for-5, 1 run scored, 1 double
    Castillo has a nine-game hitting streak going and is 12-for-34 (.353) during that stretch. His batting average rose from .051 to .191.
  • Dermis Garcia: 2-for-4, 2 runs scored, 2 RBIs, 1 double
    Garcia is second behind Ben Ruta for the organizational lead in hits this season. He has hit safely in his last seven games and is 13-for-30 (.433) during that stretch with 3 doubles, 5 home runs, and 13 RBIs.
  • Isiah Gilliam: 2-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 RBIs, 1 home run
    Gilliam hit his third home run of the season and is now hitting .344/.574/.429 in 17 games for the Tarpons. He also has a five-game hitting streak going.
  • Oswaldo Cabrera: 1-for-5
  • Steven Sensley: 1-for-4, 1 RBI
  • Donny Sands: 1-for-4
  • Clarke Schmidt: 4.2IP 7H 3R 3ER 3BB 4SO
    Threw 50/85 pitches for strikes (59%)

    Threw 10/15 pitches for strikes (67%). Kriske has now thrown 12 innings over 7 games without allowing an earned run while striking out 16 batters and walking 5 (2 were intentional walks).

Charleston RiverDogs (Class-A): The RiverDogs (8-11) fell to the Kannapolis Intimidators 5-2.

  • Wilkerman Garcia: 1-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 stolen base, 1 fielding errors
    This was Garcia’s second game of the season after returning from an injury he suffered during minor league spring training.
  • Josh Stowers: 1-for-2, 1 run scored, 1 stolen base
    Stowers has a seven-game hitting streak going and Is 11-for-27 (.407) with five runs scored during that stretch. He was removed from the game for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the sixth inning.
  • Nelson Gomez: 1-for-4, 2 RBIs, 2 fielding errors
  • Roansy Contreras: 4.2IP H4 4R 2ER 1BB 2SO
    Contreras threw 58/91 pitches for strikes (64%)
  • Johny Brito: 3.1IP 6H 1R 1ER 0BB 4SO
    This was Brito’s first appearance of the season since being promoted from Extended Spring Training. He missed all last season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.  He threw 47/63 pitches for strikes (75%).
  • Aaron McGarity: 1IP 0H 0R 0ER 1BB 2SO
    Threw 13/20 pitches for strikes (65%)
