Gulf Coast League Yankees West (Rookie): The Gulf Coast League Yankees West (1-0) defeated the GCL Tigers East, 5-4 to open their season.

  • Raimfer Salinas: 2-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 triple, 1 RBI
    The 18-year-old was the sixth best prospect in the 2017 international free agent class according to MLB Pipeline. He is returning to the GCL after appearing in five games for the GCL Yankees last year.
  • Angel Rojas: 2-for-5, 1 RBI
    Rojas signed with the Yankees as an international free agent on January 2, 2018. Last season he hit .285/.377/.485 in 55 games for the DSL Yankees.
  • Juan Crisp: 1-for-5
    Crips made his professional debut last season in the Dominican Summer League hitting .256/.320/.344 in 41 games after signing with the Yankees on February 7, 2018.
  • Enyerberth Ascanio: 0-for-1, 1 run scored, 1 walk
    Ascanio was a July 2, 2017, international signee by the Yankees. He made his professional debut in 2018 with the DSL Yankees, hitting .245/.433/.314.
  • Miguel Torres: 0-for-2
  • Jose Colmenares: 1-for-4, 1 run scored
  • Omar Martinez: 2-for-4, 1 run scored, 1 double, 1 home run, 1 RBI
