Lots of games needed making up, and Wednesday was the day. There were seven games across the system even without any rookie-level teams in action.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (19-36): The RailRiders rolled over, losing to Syracuse 3-2 in walk-off fashion in the first game and then managing just one hit in a 3-0 loss in the second.
Game 1
- Star of the Game: JP Sears – 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 3 K, 73 pitches (49 strikes). Sears continues to quietly make his case to be a factor in the Yankees’ plans over the summer
- Estevan Florial: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 strikeout
- Miguel Andujar: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 walk
- Phillip Evans: 2-for-4, 1 double, 1 run scored
- David McKay: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 19 pitches (11 strikes)
- Greg Weissert: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, 28 pitches (15 strikes). Weissert blew the save, giving up a game-tying sac fly in the bottom of the seventh
- Trevor Lane: 1.1 IP, 1 H, 1 R (0 ER), 0 BB, 1 K, 16 pitches (12 strikes). Lane took the loss
Game 2
- Star of the Game: Hayden Wesneski – 5 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 83 pitches (56 strikes). Not one of Wesneski’s stronger efforts, but he’s still put together a strong campaign with a 3.71 ERA
- Estevan Florial: 1-for-3, 1 double
- Michael Gomez: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 12 pitches (8 strikes)


Somerset Patriots (33-19): The Patriots rode shutdown pitching to a 2-1 win over Akron.
- Star of the Game: Will Warren – 6 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 K, 76 pitches (48 strikes). Following a difficult first start at Double-A, Warren turned it around in an efficient second outing
- Anthony Volpe: 1-for-4, 1 strikeout. Volpe has a four-game hitting streak and a solid .259 average in June
- Max Burt: 2-for-3, 1 run scored
- Carlos Espinal: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 22 pitches (16 strikes)
- Steven Jennings: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K, 10 pitches (6 strikes). Jennings earned his second save


Hudson Valley Renegades (25-28): The Renegades saw their run of success come to a grinding halt with a pair of 2-1 defeats to Jersey Shore.
Game 1
- Star of the Game: Matt Sauer: 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 5 K, 81 pitches (51 strikes). Sauer now has four straight starts with at least five innings pitched and no more than one earned run allowed
- Trey Sweeney: 2-for-3
- Everson Pereira: 1-for-3, 1 double
- Ryan Miller: 0.2 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 0 K, 17 pitches (10 strikes). Miller blew the save by serving up a walk-off two-run home run
Game 2
- Star of the Game: Leif Strom – 3.2 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 8 K, 68 pitches (40 strikes). Strom, a recent waiver pickup making his first appearance in the Yankees system, showed some swing-and-miss stuff
- Pat DeMarco: 1-for-3, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
- Eduardo Torrealba: 2-for-3
- Nelson L. Alvarez: 1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 23 pitches (13 strikes)
- Nelvin Correa: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 1 K, 25 pitches (14 strikes)


Tampa Tarpons (23-30): Tampa ran out to an 8-0 lead and crushed Palm Beach 13-3 in the doubleheader opener before crashing back down to earth with a 7-0 defeat in the second game.
Game 1
- Star of the Game: Alan Mejia – 3-for-4, 1 home run (1), 1 double, 4 RBI, 2 runs scored. The 20-year-old Mejia, who is hitting just .158 and spent the entire 2021 season in the DSL, hit his first full-season home run and came a triple shy of the cycle in the best game of his young career
- Alex Vargas: 2-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 walks
- Anthony Garcia: 2-for-2, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 walks
- Benjamin Cowles: 2-for-3, 1 home run (5), 1 RBI, 3 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base. Cowles is slugging .636 over four games this month
- Raimfer Salinas: 2-for-4, 1 double, 3 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
- Tyrone Yulie: 4.1 IP, 3 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 74 pitches (48 strikes)
- Ryan Anderson: 1.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 30 pitches (17 strikes). Anderson earned his second win
- Bailey Dees: 1 IP, 0 H, 1 R (0 ER), 2 BB, 1 K, 26 pitches (14 strikes)
Game 2
- Star of the Game: None
- Grant Richardson: 2-for-3, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Roberto Chirinos: 2-for-3, 1 double, 1 strikeout, 1 stolen base
- Yon Castro: 5 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 77 pitches (44 strikes). Castro fell to 2-3 with the loss
- Jack Neely: 1 IP, 1 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 24 pitches (17 strikes)
- Danny Watson: 0.2 IP, 1 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 0 K, 31 pitches (15 strikes)
- Enrique Santana: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 4 pitches (3 strikes)
