Randy Vasquez has put together one of the year’s most electrifying stretches following his midseason promotion to High-A. Scranton flirted with yet another no-no on Friday, while Tampa rallied to win another rivalry game.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (55-36): Scranton pitching didn’t allow a hit until the eighth inning, and the lineup came through with more than enough offense in a 14-2 smackdown of Worcester.

- Pitching Star of the Game: JP Sears – 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 76 pitches (49 strikes). If this had been another seven-inning game, perhaps Sears would’ve had a chance to go back-to-back on no-hitters with Sean Boyle

- Star of the Game: Blane Abeyta – 5.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 8 K, 70 pitches (45 strikes). The young right-hander has struggled this year, but his spotless relief innings on Friday are more than deserving of this honor, as he picked up his fourth win
- Trey Sweeney: 0-for-3, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts
