Will Warren’s season at Somerset is generating significant buzz as he continues to rack up quality starts. The other full-season teams didn’t have as positive a Wednesday night.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (41-45): The Scranton bullpen let things get out of hand late in a 10-3 loss to Louisville.
- Star of the Game: Estevan Florial – 2-for-4, 1 home run (12), 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk. After his 11-game hitting streak was snapped on Tuesday, Florial roared back with another excellent game. He’s hitting .343 in July

- Matt Krook: 5 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 4 BB, 6 K, 90 pitches (55 strikes). Krook served up two home runs in the loss

Somerset Patriots (51-32): Somerset scored four late runs to pull away from Portland and win 5-1.
- Star of the Game: Will Warren – 7 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 94 pitches (57 strikes). Since allowing five earned runs on June 2, Warren has made seven starts. In each of them, he’s gone at least five innings, allowed no more than three runs, and struck out at least five

Hudson Valley Renegades (45-38): The ‘Gades saw their nine-game winning streak grind to a halt as they fell in an early 5-0 hole and didn’t recover, losing 9-4 to Greenville.
- Star of the Game: Tyler Hardman – 2-for-4, 1 home run (12), 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 2 strikeouts, 1 stolen base. Hardman is now in double digits on the year for home runs and stolen bases after he swiped his 10th bag
- Spencer Henson: 2-for-5, 1 home run (8), 1 RBI, 1 run scored
- James Nelson: 2-for-5, 2 strikeouts
- Blas Castano: 4 IP, 9 H, 8 ER, 3 BB, 5 K, 93 pitches (66 strikes). Castano was roughed up and had his streak of five consecutive starts of at least six innings snapped
- Carlos Gomez: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 33 pitches (20 strikes)
- Nelvin Correa: 2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K, 24 pitches (13 strikes)

Tampa Tarpons (37-44): The Tarpons and Tortugas got underway at 9 PM Eastern following a lengthy rain delay.


FCL Yankees (20-7): In a matchup rescheduled from Monday, the Yankees dominated the visiting Tigers 10-5.
- Star of the Game: Omar Martinez – 2-for-4, 1 home run (1), 4 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout. Martinez hit his first FCL home run after going yard six times last season in the DSL

- Pedro Diaz: 2-for-3, 1 triple, 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
- Brenny Escanio: 1-for-2, 1 double, 1 run scored, 3 walks, 1 strikeout
- Sean Hermann: 6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K. Hermann allowed two home runs but was brilliant otherwise in recording his first win
- Shaine McNeely: 2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
- Luis Arejula: 1 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
