Trenton Thunder (Double-A): 5-1 loss to the Richmond Flying Squirrels

Tampa Yankees (Single-A Advanced): 2-1 victory over the Charlotte Stone Crabs

  • Brody Koerner – Tossed 7.2 innings, permitted five hits and one walk in his scoreless, four strikeout performance

Charleston RiverDogs (Single-A): 14-1 win over the Rome Braves

  • Ben Ruta – 3 for 5 with a double, RBI, and two runs scored
  • Isiah Gilliam – 1 for 3 with three RBI’s, two walks and a run scored

Staten Island Yankees (Single-A Short Season): 5-4 victory over the Vermont Lake Monsters

  • Kendall Coleman – 3 for 5 with two doubles, and two runs scored
  • Danienger Perez – 2 for 2 with a double, walk, and two RBI’s
  • Cesar Diaz – 2 for 5 with a double, and two RBI’s
  • Greg Weissert – Notched his first save of the season by striking out two in his perfect inning of relief

Pulaski Yankees (Rookie): 10-6 victory over the Elizabethton Twins

  • Dermis Garcia – 2 for 5 with a home run, double, three RBI’s and two runs scored
  • Pablo Olivares – 2 for 4 with a home run, triple, walk, two RBI’s and two runs scored
  • Saul Torres – 2 for 4 with a home run, RBI, and run scored
  • Steven Sensley – 2 for 3 with a home run, walk, RBI, and three runs scored

Gulf Coast League Yankees East & West (Rookie): East beat the Tigers 1-0, West lost to the Blue Jays 2-4

  • Jose Devers – 2 for 4 with a double
  • Jonathan Amundaray – 1 for 4 with a double and RBI
  • Trevor Stephan – Pitched two perfect innings and struck out one
  • Tony Hernandez – Fired five innings of three-hit baseball and struck out seven
  • Juan De Leon – 2 for 3 with a double and a walk

Dominican Summer League Yankees (Rookie): 8-6 victory over the Angels

  • Carlos Tatis – 3 for 4 with two home runs, four RBI’s and two runs scored
  • Jose Villa – 2 for 5 with a triple, RBI, and run scored
  • Carlos Rodriguez – Picked up his first win of the season by tossing six innings of four-hit and two-run (one earned) baseball
