Pinstriped Performances: Where’s Oswaldo?

He’s rounding the bases, again. Oswaldo Cabrera has had a fairy-tale couple of weeks as he wraps up his season with Scranton.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (73-52): The RailRiders scored a big 10-3 win over the Red Wings thanks to Cabrera and Miguel Andújar.

  • Star of the Game: Oswaldo Cabrera – 3-for-5, 1 home run (4), 1 double, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout. Cabrera is slashing .519/.606/1.111 for a 1.717 OPS through eight games with Scranton, and he’s been every bit as great as those eye-popping numbers suggest
  • Oswald Peraza: 1-for-4, 1 RBI
  • Miguel Andújar: 3-for-5, 1 home run (5), 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout. Andújar concludes a frustrating, injury-filled season this weekend with the RailRiders
  • Trey Amburgey: 2-for-5, 1 double, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 2 strikeouts
  • Sócrates Brito: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 2 strikeouts
  • JP Sears: 5.2 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 K, 81 pitches (51 strikes). Sears won his seventh game of the season and hasn’t taken a loss
  • Reggie McClain: 0.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 4 pitches (3 strikes)
  • Shawn Semple: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 18 pitches (11 strikes)
  • Adam Warren: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 9 pitches (7 strikes)

DSL Yankees 1 (31-27): In their penultimate game of the season, Yanks 1 beat Rockies 2 by a 4-2 score.

  • Star of the Game: Jesus Rodriguez – 2-for-4, 2 doubles, 2 RBI, 2 runs scored. The 19-year-old catcher is hitting .303
  • Carlos Verdecia: 1-for-3, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 strikeouts
  • Jared Serna: 1-for-2, 1 RBI, 1 strikeout
  • Geralmi Santana: 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 4 K

DSL Yankees 2 (29-29): The Yanks clobbered Diamondbacks 2 11-1.

  • Star of the Game: Luis Arejula – 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 8 K. Arejula picked up his second win and set a career high for strikeouts
  • Daury Arias: 1-for-5, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, 1 walk
  • Brenny Escanio: 1-for-4, 2 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 walk, 1 strikeout
  • Ramiro Altagracia: 1-for-4, 1 RBI, 1 run scored, 1 strikeout
  • Edinson Duran: 1-for-4, 1 double, 1 RBI, 2 strikeouts
  • Jan Pena: 4 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K. Pena recorded his first save with a signature long-relief outing
