It pains me to say this, but within the next two weeks, we will shut down the PinstripedProspects.com website. This was not an easy decision, but since the COVID lockdown and the restructuring of the minor leagues, the website has not been able to reach what it once was.
Pinstriped Prospects went from 4,273,668 total page views in 2019 to just 48,722 page views in 2023. Looking at those numbers, it is hard to justify the expense of keeping the website up and running.
It saddens me to make this announcement as Pinstriped Prospects was a dream that I tried my best to turn into something spectacular, and for a while, it was. It was a passion project for me and the team of writers like Matt Kardos, Paul Pagnato, Rob Terranova, and others.
This website kept me going through some dark days in my life. Being at the stadiums covering the teams lifted the stress and depression I was experiencing.
I want to thank all of you for being part of the ride. Thank you to those contributors who were the backbone of the site. Thank you to the players and coaches who allowed us to tell their stories. Thank you to the Yankees organization for allowing us to cover their minor leaguers. Thank you to every front office member at each and every Yankees affiliate, past and present. Thank you to the YES Network, MLB Network, etc, who credited our work. Most importantly, thank you to the readers who visited the website daily to get the latest news on prospects rising through the farm.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
