Hi, what are you looking for?

Pitching Duel Doesn’t go Yankees Way.

It was a pitching duel as both the Yankees and Phillies went at it at the Phillies complex.  The Phillies scored two in the eighth to down the Yankees today.  As a team they had 6 hits out of 31 total at bats today.  They walked five times and struck out seven times.

Miguel Andujar and Jerison Lopez both went two for four today with a double.  Andujar did have a strike out thou.

Worst day at the dish goes to Nathan Mikolas.  He signed for above slot $400,000 this year and has been pretty bad.  While GCL stats aren’t as important as scouting report his performance has to be troubling.  Today he struck out three times in four at bats.  On the season he has struck out 37.3% of the time.

Daniel Camarena got the start and was good.  He went three innings today with three strike outs.  He allowed no walks or hits today.  A four GO to one FO rounded out Camarena’s line.  Very good job in two starts so far for Camarena.

Personal favorite Rony Bautista went four innings after Camarena and allowed three hits.  He struck out one, walked one and allowed one earned run today.  Bautista also did a good job of getting the ball down in the zone as he got seven GO to three FO.

Tomorrow is an off day but Monday Ty Hensley makes his professional debut.
