At 6’4” 210 pounds, Trevor Stephan is no slouch on the mound. His main pitch is a fastball that usually is 92-95 miles per hour but has topped out as high as 98 at times. He has shown the ability to control it as well. His main secondary pitch is an average slider that is usually clocked at 79-82 MPH as well as a changeup that is quickly developing into a solid offering.
Stephan has spent a considerable amount of time during the 2017 season focusing on the development of that changeup. Coming into the season the changeup was a distant third pitch, that was at times called “fringy” but after turning pro and focusing on the development he has managed to improve it greatly and throw it with confidence to put hitters away with it.
