Polo & Jackson Promoted to Trenton; McKinney & Bolasky to SWB

In what has proved to be one of the busiest weeks of player movement the organization has seen in years, the shuffling of players throughout the organization continued on Saturday afternoon. With news breaking that outfielder Clint Frazier was being promoted to the big leagues, a slew of roster moves ensued at the lower levels.

Trenton announced that outfielders Tito Polo and Jhalan Jackson were added to the roster and outfielders Billy McKinney and Devyn Bolasky were promoted to Triple-A Scranton.

Polo, a 22-year old speedster, was slashing .283/.341/.429 with four homers, 20 RBI and 19 SB in his first full-season at High-A. The Columbian native is coming off an impressive 2016 campaign that saw him record 16 homers and 66 RBI in 111 games. The centerfielder was signed by the Pirates as a 17-year old and was sent over to the Yankees as part of the package that netted them Ivan Nova.

The 24-year old Jackson has struggled in the first half of his 2017 campaign with High-A Tampa, having slashed just .229/.312/.397 with more strikeouts (57) than hits (41). Still, the 2015 seventh round draft selection is a strong right-handed hitter with great power potential. He has hit seven homers and driven in 31 runs in 58 games this season.
