Princeton Edges Pulaski with Run in Ninth

PRINCETON, W.Va. – The Princeton Rays (22-15) scratched out a run in the bottom of the ninth to record a 4-3 Appalachian League win over the Pulaski Yankees (22-16) before 804 fans at Hunicutt Field Friday night.

With the win, the Rays took over first place in the Appalachian League East by a half-game.

Third baseman Allen Velerio and center fielder Carlos Vidal each homered for Pulaski, which will host Princeton Saturday and Sunday evenings at Calfee Park. First pitch both nights is at 7.
