Pulaski Avenges Setback with Rout

PULASKI, Va. – Perhaps looking to avenge the fact the Bluefield Blue Jays (22-37) snapped their nine-game win streak Sunday night, the Pulaski Yankees (38-22) put them away early in a 12-3 rout before 1,433 fans at Calfee Park Mondau night.

With the victory, the Yankees lead the Appalachian League East by five games over the Princeton Rays and have clinched at least a postseason playoff berth.

Third baseman Allen Valerio drive in four runs and hit his 1oth hone run. Shortstop Hoy Jun Park hit his fifth and drove in three.

Right-hander John Morban allowed just three hits and a run over six innings for his third win in eight decisions.

The clubs will finish their series at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the final regular-srasin game at Calfee Park, but the Yankees will certainly be back for postseason action.
