Pulaski Falls to Kingsport, Retains First Place

PULASKI, Va. – Gosuke Katoh and Allen Valerio each had two hits, but the Pulaski Yankees (21-15) dropped a 10-4 Appalachian League decision to the Kingsport Mets (18-17) Wednesday night before 1,340 fans at Calfee Park.

Despite the loss, the Yankees retained a half-game lead over the Princeton Rays atop the Appalachian Conference East.

The teams conclude their series at 7 p.m. Thursday before the Yankees begin a home-and-home series with the Rays Friday night.
