BURLINGTON, N.C. – The Pulaski Yankees smacked five home runs en route to a 15-3 win over the Burlington Royals Sunday evening before 1,044 fans at Burlington Athletic Stadium.

The Yankees (32-21) now lead the Appalachian League East by two games over the Princeton Rays.

Kane Sweeney, Hoy Jun Park, Austin Afenir, Alen Valerio and Gosuke Katoh all put one over the fence. Right-hander Melvin Morla improved to 3-2 with five strong innings.

The teams will play the middle fame of three at 7 p.m. Monday evening.
