Pulaski Splits Pair, Returns Home Tonight

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. – The Pulaski Yankees (2-4) and Elizabethton Twins (3-3) split an Appalachian League doubleheader Sunday evening before 648 fans at Joe O’Brien Field.

Billy Fleming, Matthew Duran, Austin Afenir and Hoy Jun Park each had a pair of hits to pace Pulaski to a 6-2 win in the opener. Addison Rosa picked up the win on the mound. Elizabethton, behind Cody Stashuk and Oresimo Hernandez, limited the Pulaski offense to a Carlos Vidal single and double in taking the nightcap 4-0. Both games were seven innings.

Fleming is hitting .438 in the early going, while Duran checks in at .417 and Vidal at .350.

Tony Franklin’s club returns home Monday to face Johnson City. Game time at Calfee Park in 7 p.m.
