Pulaski Win Streak Reaches Four

PULASKI, Va. – Suddenly the Pulaski Yankees are rolling in Appalachian League play.

Tony Franklin’s club boosted its record to 8-6 by winning a pair of games vs. the Danville Brabes at Calfee Field Monday evening. Pulaski has won four straight.

Carlos Vidal played a part in both victories, 6-4 in the suspended game room Sunday and 2-1 in the regularly scheduled game, Vidal homered in the completion of the suspended game, along with Hoy Jun Park, Gosuke Katoh and Kendall Coleman.

Willie Gabay earned this first win of the year, Alex Robinett his first save.

In the regularly scheduled game, Vidal had a pair of doubles and Billy Fleming and Matthew Duran the RBIs as Nestor Cortes threw six scoreless innings to pick up his second win and drop Danville to 4-9. Brody Koemer earned his first save before 1,222 at Calfee Park.

The teams conclude the three-game series at 7 Tuesday evening at Calfee Park.
