RailRiders April Attendance Awards Announced

Moosic, Pa. – Attend RailRiders games, and you could win more than just great baseball and fun, affordable family entertainment. That was the message delivered by the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) today when 13 lucky fans were named finalists in the team’s monthly attendance contest.

Every fan that attended every April home game was entered into a raffle. Thirteen finalists from said raffle will be contacted today. From there, five lucky victors will claim one of five fantastic prizes. The prizes consist of: watching an inning in the bullpen area; a meet-and-greet with any celebrities that attend a RailRiders game; a meet-and-greet before the Legends Game; four tickets to a New York Yankees game; and a cruise from Norwegian Cruise Lines.

All 13 finalists will be acknowledged after the game on Friday, May 8 before the fireworks show. That announcement will include the big reveal of the five winners. The finalists that did not secure one of the big prizes will still receive a consolation prize from the RailRiders.

“These are our VIP fans,” said RailRiders interim GM Jeremy Ruby. “We want to demonstrate our appreciation for the folks that support us night in and night out throughout the 2015 season.”

The RailRiders return home on May 5 to kick off a six-game homestand against the Gwinnett Braves (Atlanta Braves) and Indianapolis Indians (Pittsburgh Pirates). For more information please call (570) 969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
