Moosic, Pa. – Wednesday baseball at PNC Field will mean a little bit more in 2016. The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) have proudly announced an additional wrinkle for all of their Wednesday night home games this season, “Pay it Forward Wednesdays”. On these nights the team will donate a portion of walk-up ticket sales to non-profit/charitable organizations.
On these nights, the designated Community Organization of the Game will receive a donation from a portion of the club’s walk-up ticket sales. The donation structure sits below:
Walk-up Price Amount Donated to COG
$15-Infield Box $5
$13-Field Reserve $3
Eligible beneficiaries must be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. For more information, groups are encouraged to contact the RailRiders by phone at (570) 969-BALL, by e-mail to Rachel Mark ([email protected]) or in person at the team’s PNC Field front office from Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
“We hope this program, in concert with our many other community giveback efforts, will push our sum of money, goods and services donated back to NEPA over the $1 million mark in 2016,” said RailRiders COO Josh Olerud. “The 2016 campaign and Pay it Forward Wednesdays can’t get here fast enough.”
In addition to the Pay it Forward program, Wednesday games will sport a Belly Buster promotion this season that will allow fans to upgrade their tickets to include an all-you-can-eat buffet for just $15. The team’s full promotional schedule including giveaways, daily promotions and more will be announced in the near future.
The defending IL North champion RailRiders open their 2016 season on Thursday, April 7 with a two-game homestand against the Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota Twins). For tickets or more information, please call (570) 969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
