Rain Postpones T-Yanks Yet Again

The Tampa Yankees began a three game series at Space Coast Stadium on Thursday evening against the Brevard County Manatees however, due to rain they haven’t seen much playing time.

The first game of the series on Thursday evening began with LHP Eric Wooten (ERA 2.97) on the mound for Tampa. The game was postponed after just three innings when a 30 minute delay turned into a postponed game. At the time that the game was suspended, the Manatees had a 4-0 lead. Wooten had allowed 7 hits, 4 runs. 3 earned with just one strikeout. Offensively, the T-Yanks had just 3 hits; 1 each by Jake Cave, Cito Culver and Claudio Custodio.

The entirety of game 1 will be played on Saturday at 5:05pm as the first game of the night and then thirty minutes later the scheduled third game of the series will take place. Friday night’s game has been rescheduled for May 24. RHP Rafael De Paula (ERA 2.96) will take the mound for the T-Yanks in the second game.
