The Yankees played well in all aspects today as they beat the Phillies by the score of five to two. As a team they had 10 hits in 31 at bats. Again it was a bad day for walks as they only walked one time while striking out nine times.
David Remedios had the best day as he went three for four today. Two of his hits were homeruns and he had three RBI’s to go along with three runs scored.
Jake Anderson a 2010 draftee went two for four on the day with a double. He scored a run but struck out also.
Daniel Camarena pitched three innings today and pitched pretty well. He allowed three hits that led to an earned run. While he didn’t allow a walk he did strike out three batters. Camarena only got two groundball outs compared to two flyball outs to finish his line.
Rookie davis came in after him and pitched three innings also. He also allowed a run but only on two hits. Davis didn’t allow a walk but did only strike out one player. He also didn’t get the ball down either as he got the same out ratio as Camarena.
Chaz Hebert had the best day pitching of the trio. He like his rotation buddies went three innings. He only allowed a hit thou and no runs while striking out five batters. He only got one groundball to two flyball outs.
Tomorrow will be a double header with the Tigers. It is a completion of the July 31st game.
