Report: Gary Sanchez Out 4 Weeks

According to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com, New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi announced today that catcher Gary Sanchez will miss four weeks. Sanchez has been diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain of a muscle directly behind his right biceps following an MRI on Monday in New York.

The Yankee phenom had previously placed on the 10-day disabled list on Sunday after exiting mid at-bat during Saturday’s afternoon game in Baltimore.

After batting .299 with 20 home runs in just 53 games last season, Sanchez is hitting .150 with one home run over five games this season.
