Key story:
The Riverdogs didn’t hit at all today with men and it cost them the game. As a team they went 8 for 35 but with men on base they went 2 for 12 with 8 men left on base. That wasn’t the only thing that cost them the game. Gallegos was terrible and really put the game out of reach.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Miguel Andujar appears to have gotten the memo that he is a very good hitter because he continues to hit. Today he went two for four with a double and a run scored. The last ten games this is his slash line. .406/.513/.656. If he continues this hot hitting it will get his season line up to be pretty respectable which means he should get a promotion to Tampa next year.
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Michael O’Neil went hitless in four at bats with two strikeouts.
Katoh Watch:
Coming into the night Katoh is at 34.8% and that is going to go up as he struck out twice today.
