Hi, what are you looking for?

Giovanny Gallegos with the Staten Island Yankees (Robert M. Pimpsner)

RISP Fail in Riverdog Lost

Key story:

The Riverdogs didn’t hit at all today with men and it cost them the game.  As a team they went 8 for 35 but with men on base they went 2 for 12 with 8 men left on base.  That wasn’t the only thing that cost them the game. Gallegos was terrible and really put the game out of reach.

Captain Clutch of the Game:

Miguel Andujar appears to have gotten the memo that he is a very good hitter because he continues to hit.   Today he went two for four with a double and a run scored.   The last ten games this is his slash line. .406/.513/.656.  If he continues this hot hitting it will get his season line up to be pretty respectable which means he should get a promotion to Tampa next year.

Golden Sombrero of the Game:

Michael O’Neil went hitless in four at bats with two strikeouts.

Katoh Watch:

Coming into the night Katoh is at 34.8% and that is going to go up as he struck out twice today.

Up Next:

Rookie Davis goes tomorrow at 6:00 pm eastern time.
