Dustin Fowler File Photo (Charleston RiverDogs)

Riverdogs Blown Out by Augusta

Key Story:

The pitching was terrible for the Riverdogs today.  Of course the rain delays didn’t help matters.  The dogs pitching staff gave up twelve hits and seven walks which led to fourteen runs.  The only pitcher who didn’t give up a run was Kale Sumner, the position player who came in to the ninth to pitch.  Ugly.

Captain Clutch of the Game:

There were only two hits by the Riverdogs.  Dustin Fowler get it since he had one of the hits and it went for a homerun.  That was his only hit in four at bats thou.

Golden Sombrero:

Kale Sumner struck out three times himself before going on the mound.

Up Next:

Encinas goes tomorrow night against August at noon eastern time.
