CHARLESTON, SC – Charleston RiverDogs President and General Manager Dave Echols has announced the hiring of Tyler Schwemin as the director of video production.
Schwemin, a 2014 graduate of Northern Michigan University with a dual degree in Media Production and New Technology along with Physical Education, joins the RiverDogs staff full-time after working as a video production assistant with the RiverDogs last season. He also worked as a video producer at The Citadel assisting in video production for a number of Bulldog athletic events including football, baseball and basketball.
“Tyler has done excellent work for both us and for Citadel athletics, and we expect a seamless transition as he hits the ground running in his new position,” said Echols. “Fans this season will love what his video work adds to the ballpark experience as well as our online presence.”
Along with his work with the RiverDogs and The Citadel, the Marquette, Mich. native has taken part in a number of freelance projects including directing ESPN3 broadcasts of Citadel basketball, directing College of Charleston basketball games for the Charleston Sports Network, and working for PBS’s “Charleston After America” documentary.
Schwemin, who will be producing video content at the ballpark and for the club’s website (riverdogs.com), begins his new responsibilities immediately.
