PULASKI, Va. – Right-hander Adonis Rosa threw five scoreless innings – and Cody Hamlin and Garrett Mundell finished the shutout – as the Pulaski Yankees (30-21) recorded a 5-0 win over the Greeneville Astros (26-24) Friday night before 1,718 fans at Calfee Park.
Rosa improved to 6-2, helped by a two-hit night by right fielder Kendall Coleman.
With the win, the Yankees now have a 1-game lead over the Princeton Rays in the Appalachian League East.
The teams will conclude their three-game series, and the Yankees this homestand, at 7 p.m. Saturday.
