Hi, what are you looking for?

Runs Early Enough in Yankee Win

A four run second inning was a good amount to start the game as the Yankees won nine to four today over the Phillies.  As a team they knocked out 7 hits in 32 at bats.  Most impressive for the team is they walked 9 times to 7 strikeouts.  Either it was a good job by the team in drawing walks or a bad job by the Phillies team.

Abe Almonte started his rehab assignment as he played center for three innings and went hitless in two at bats

Personal favorite Austine Aune went one for four today.  His one hit was a triple and he stole a base also.  Over his last 10 games Aune has a .406/.513/.656 with four doubles, two triples and five stolen bases.  He also has a seven to six BB/K ratio.

Miguel Andujar had a good game by going two for four with a double.

Angel Rincon started the game and went two innings while allowing two runs.  He struck out two guys while allowing a walk that led to two runs.

Luis Niebela was very hittable today as he allowed seven hits in two and a third innings.  He only allowed two runs since he didn’t walk anyone and got a strike out.  He also got a double play which is a pitchers best friend

Jordan Cote got promoted to Staten Island today which is good.  He pitched very well at the complex league he pitched 27.2 innings while striking out 25 guys and had a WHIP under 1.

Tomorrow the Yankees travel to the Phillies complex and play at 10 Eastern Time.
