Runs Early Hold Off Braves For Yankee Win

The Yankees scored two runs in the first, two runs in the second and three runs in the third for the Yankees to win seven to six.  As a team they had 6 hits in 32 at bats with 9 walks against 9 strike outs.

Austin Aune had the best day as he went two for four with both of his hits going for doubles.  He had two RBI’s and a run to go along with a strike out.   On the season he has hit .304/.400/.443 for .843 OPS.  Over his last ten games his numbers have been even better as he .323/.450/.548 for .998 OPS.   I believe he has improved his stock the most and has shown the Yankees do know something in their scouting.

Giovanny Gallegos got the start and went two innings as he gave up one hit and struck out two batters.  His other outs came on the groundball variety.

Rookie Davis went two and two thirds today and had the same line of one hit and two strike outs.  Rookie got three GO to three FO.

Personal favorite Rony Bautista came in and got hit around.  He went one and a third inning and gave up three hits.   He also walked two guys and gave up a homerun which led to four earned runs.  He did strike out three batters while getting the other out on a groundball.

Tomorrow the Braves will make their way to the Yankees complex for a 10 am eastern time start time.
