Key story:
Brady Lail started and wasn’t great for the third straight start. Lail went four and a third innings today and while he struck out five he did allow four runs, two being earned. The game for Lail was one of not being able to put pitchers away since he threw 88 pitches and not getting thru the fifth inning.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Miguel Andujar went one for two with a double and two walks. Since taking a few days off for the all star break Andujar has hit like many people expected him to. His slash line is .333/.435/.487 which I believe he should be hitting for the whole season minus some OBP.
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Michael O’Neil goes from Clutch to Sombrero in a game. O’Neil went one for five with a double but three strikeouts.
Katoh Watch:
34.2% coming into today and that is going to creep closer to that 35% as he had three strikeouts in four at bats.
Up Next:
Smith goes tomorrow against Savannah at 7 pm eastner.
