MOOSIC, Pa. – The SWB RailRiders completed a three-game weekend sweep of the second place Rochester Red Wings on Sunday afternoon. Gary Sanchez went 4-for-4 and Kyle Haynes hurled seven innings in a 4-2 victory at PNC Field. Haynes (2-1) went seven innings for the first time since August 19, 2013, and yielded a run on three hits while striking out four. Andury Acevedo earned his first Triple-A save by finishing the game. The right-hander’s only blemish was a solo home run by Kennys Vargas in the ninth.

Taylor Rogers (9-11) absorbed the loss after allowing four runs on eight hits over 6.2 innings. The left-hander tied a Triple-A high with nine strikeouts.

After falling behind 1-0 in the first, SWB claimed the lead for good in the second. Sanchez opened the frame with a single and moved to second when Aaron Judge worked a walk. One out later, Austin Romine collected two of his three RBI by poking a single to left for a 2-1 lead.

Sanchez and Romine combined again in the fourth to push the advantage to 3-1. Sanchez doubled and moved to third on a single by Cole Figueroa. Romine followed with a bouncer to third, scoring Sanchez.
