Severino Dominates Again in Riverdog Victory

Key Story:

Luis  Severino took the mound and was very good again.  Unfortunately six innings with two earn runs actually raised his ERA from 2.16 to 2.32.  Severino was hittable as he gave up seven hits but no walks.  He did keep the ball on the ground as he got ten groundballs to three flyball outs.  Before this game the numbers were just really good as Severino had 10.44 k per 9 while only having a WHIP of 1.2.  Thru the first plus and Severino has improved his prospect stock the most of all the pitching prospects in the system.

Captain Clutch of the Game:

Kale Sumner wins the award.  He didn’t have the most hits but over his two at bats he had a hit.  He three runs one run batted in and two walks.

Golden Sombrero of the Game:

Miguel Andujar didn’t have a great game.  On the plus side he didn’t strike out at all in his five at bats. He also didn’t have a hit at all thou.

Up Next:

Ian Clarkin looks to continue his ERA of 0.00 against Rome at 7 pm eastern.
