Sheffield, Estrada Named to Fall Stars Game

On Monday afternoon the Arizona Fall League announced the rosters for annual Fall Stars Game that will take place on Saturday November 4.  Among those on the initial rosters are left-handed pitcher Justus Sheffield and infielder Thairo Estrada.

Sheffield, 21, is 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA over four games this AFL season.  In 19 innings he as struck out 21 batters while walking just two.  In his last game he threw five innings of shutout ball.

Estrada, 21, is having a solid season in Arizona.  The young infielder has 16 hits over 45 at-bats with two of them being doubles and one homerun.  He has driven in six runs and stole two bases.

In addition, two more Yankees prospects are in running for spots via fan vote.  First baseman/outfielder Billy McKinney and Estevan Florial.

McKinney, 23, is in the fall league to work out at first base.  So far in nine games in Arizona he is hitting .306/.372/.528 with three doubles, a triple and a homerun.  He has 17 RBIs and four walks.

Florial, 19, is hitting .316 in 10 games with the Scottsdale Scorpions.  He has three doubles and a triple and drove in three runs.
