STATEN ISLAND, NY – The Staten Island Yankees announced last night their 15th Anniversary All-Time Team. These twelve players will be immortalized on a special card set to be given out at three games this season.
Prior to the 2014 season the Staten Island Yankees held a special vote to determine who will be on the team. The fans voted for four pitchers, four infielders, three outfielders and a catcher. Almost 1,500 fans voted on the Staten Island Yankees official blog and the results are in.
The team features a mix of fan favorites such as Ryan Bicondoa and Elvis Corporan, major leaguers including Chien-Ming Wang, Robinson Cano Eduardo Nunez, Francisco Cervelli, Brett Gardner and Melky Cabrera and current prospects Pat Venditte, Tyler Austin and Mason Williams.
The first set of four cards will be given away Saturday, July 19 with the pitching staff. Be sure to come out to the ballpark and collect them all! The breakdown is as follows:
Series 1: Pitchers- Saturday, July 19
