Sixth Inning Fiasco Dooms Yankees

The Yankees scored early but the 6th inning was their doom as the Phillies put a five spot on the board.  The Yankees lost six to three.  As a team Yankees had 4 hits in 30 at bats with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Mikeson Oliberto played center and went two for four.  He had a double to go with a run and a strikeout. Oliberto also had two steals.    Over his last ten games Oliberto has hit .317/.378/.537.    Oliberto has 13 hits with seven of those going for extra base hits.

Ericson Leonora went one for four but hit a homerun.

Zach Arneson got the start and went one innings.  He struck out two batters to his one hit.

Giovanny Gallegos came in and pitched three innings.  He allowed a hit, walk and a strikeout.  Two GO to two FO finished his line out.

Rookie Davis didn’t have a great day as he allowed three hits and a walk.  Those baserunners led to four run, two of them being earned.  David did strikeout two batters and got two groundball outs.  Lail didn’t help him as he allowed two of Davis runs to score.

At noon tomorrow the Yankees will travel to the Phillies complex for a noon eastern time.
