Hi, what are you looking for?

Split Doubleheader

First game was a good start for the doubleheader as the Yankees blanked the Tigers to win two to nothing.  They knocked out seven hits and a walk in the nine innings.  They struck out thirteen times in the first game thou.

Best day in game one was Dalton Smith who went two for four with a double.  He was victim thou to two strikeouts.

Eduardo de Oleo also went two for four today.  He got an RBI but also struck out too.

Austin Aune had a bad day as he struck out four times in four at bats.  It appears that Aune is wearing down after the longest baseball season he’s played.

Pedro Feliciano started his rehab assignment by pitching an inning today.  He struck out three batters but allowed a walk and a hit.  Not bad for pretty much two years off of pitching because of shoulder surgery.

Hayden Sharp went four innings and was good.  He allowed one hit and two walks but struck out two.   Sharp got four groundball to five flyball outs to complete his line on the day.

Brady Lail pitched three inning and continued the streak of shutout innings.  He allowed two hits to go along with a walk and strike out.  Lail also got two groundball outs to three flyball outs.

Game two wasn’t as good as game one as the Yankees lost four to three.  They only had five hits to go along with three walks and five strikeouts.

Miguel Andujar hit one for three today.  His one hit was a double which got him two RBI’s and a run scored.

Chris Breen also had a good day as he went two for three and a RBI.    Breen also picked a runner off first base with a snap throw while also catching a guy stealing.

Ty Hensley got the start and went two and two thirds to start the game.  He allowed one hit and two walks which led to an earned run.  Hensley did strike out three batters to go along with two groundball outs and two flyball outs.

Dayton Dawe’s control wasn’t there as he walked four in his one and two thirds inning.  He only allowed a hit but all those walks led to two runs.

A 10:00 am start time at the Yankee complex is the next game against the Tigers.
