Game One
Key Story:
Riverdogs had a five run sixth inning which put them on top of Savannah in the first game of the doubleheader. Dustin Fowler had the big hit as he had a three run homerun to give the Riverdogs a large lead heading into the final innings. Fowler is hitting in June .329/.365/.643 a great slash line. I’m sure the Yankees would like to see him take a few more walks but his June is really good right now and this performance is putting him in for top 30 Yankee prospects.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Gosuke Katoh had a good game as he went two for three with a double an RBI and a run scored. Even better he didn’t strike out. Progress!
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
Reymond Nunez, Mike Ford and Jackson Valera all went hitless in three at bats.
Game Two:
Key Story:
The Riverdogs only had two hits for the whole second game. It didn’t matter how good the pitching was because of that. Even worst they had fourteen strikeouts with only one walk. They got dominated.
Captain Clutch of the Game:
Kale Sumner went one for one with a walk. So he had 66% of the baserunners today.
Golden Sombrero of the Game:
The whole team struck out except Michael O’Neil. That seems very odd.
Up Next:
Chaz Hebert goes tomorrow against Savannah at 7 pm eastern.
