Staten Island Yankees Release 2015 Schedule

Mark your calendars as the Staten Island Yankees have released their 2015 schedule. For the first time since 2009 the New York – Penn League season will begin on June 19 when the Baby Bombers will take on their cross-town rival Brooklyn Cyclones.

The 2015 season will see the Staten Island Yankees face off against the Brooklyn Cyclones a total of 12 times, the first time since the 2005 season that they will face off in less than 14 scheduled games. They will face the Aberdeen Ironbirds 14 times next season, it will be the first season the Yankees will have more than 10 scheduled games. Staten Island will have 3 six-game road trips in 2015, with one of those trips consisting of three games against both the Mahoning Valley Scrappers and the new West Virginia Black Bears.

The schedule is back loaded in 2015. The Baby Bombers will play five home games in June, twelve in July, sixteen in August and an addition four in September. Throughout the season they will play eight home games on Sundays, six on Mondays and Fridays, five on Wednesdays and Saturdays with four games on both Tuesdays and Fridays.
